Overview

Haberman is seeking an Account Director with strong paid media experience and a proven ability to generate success for our clients. You’re a key leader at the agency, demonstrating a commitment to the agency’s business, reputation, and culture. You’re savvy with business terms and strategies, budgets, and the bottom line. You skillfully own the room, deliver killer strategy, and exude inspiration and positivity.

Responsibilities

Integrated Account Management and Paid Media Experience

  • Provide strategic oversight for integrated marketing campaigns for clients on both a local and national level, potentially including advertising, brand development, PR, and paid media, inclusive of traditional and digital channels.
  • Provide “big picture” client leadership and strategy for the agency’s largest or most complex accounts. Understand the greater vision and how client tactics fit into an overall strategy.
  • Own the final narrative and serve as a final quality check in developing strategic plans, presentations, decks, etc.
  • Oversee the overall measurement & optimization strategy, predominately within paid media, translating monthly paid media optimizations into actionable insights to build the client’s brand and achieve business goals.
  • Utilize measurement to identify incremental pockets of growth for the client.
  • Collaborate with internal and external Creative, PR, and Paid Media teams to ensure integrated campaigns are strategic and highly effective for clients. Proactively enlist others to help attack an issue or opportunity uniquely.
  • Oversee client budgets and take responsibility for leading accounts towards greater profitability.

Client Relations

  • Build rapport and serve as a trusted advisor for client relationships, including the C-suite.
  • Serve as the account leader for questions or issues a client may have relative to their business partnership with Haberman.
  • Display depth of business understanding, driving momentum for clients’ brands and business objectives.
  • Express the agency’s point of view, including demonstrating a willingness to respectfully challenge clients when warranted based on rationale.

Business Development

  • Foster organic business development opportunities, ensuring Haberman is positioned for ongoing partnerships and efficient renewal of projects.
  • Play a critical role in the strategy and the general development of proposals or pitches for new pieces of business with an existing client.
  • Demonstrate leadership in business development with new clients, including identifying potential prospects, leading meetings with prospective clients, and developing proposals/decks.

Leadership

  • Demonstrate positive and inspirational leadership within the agency.
  • Integrate the agency’s cross-functional teams to best deliver on client work.
  • Demonstrate frequency of new ideas for clients and agency, including proactively identifying and providing solutions to agency leadership.
  • Provide clear direction and respectful feedback for all team members across the agency.
  • Track staff and capacity issues and help build the best team possible.
  • Coach, encourage, and mentor direct reports.

Experience

  • 10+ years of Account Management experience required.
  • 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Advertising and paid media campaign experience ($5M-$10M+ budgets) a must.
  • Coordination of cross-functional and multi-agency teams a plus.
  • Agency and direct client contact experience required, ranging from brand managers to directors to VPs.
  • Experience with CPG clients is required.
  • Exposure connecting marketing efforts to CPG sales strategies, tactics, and metrics is a plus-plus.
  • Experience with health and behavior change categories and campaigns a plus.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with digital and social marketing campaigns (paid and unpaid).
  • Exceptional internal and external interpersonal communications.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects, workstreams, and timelines.
  • High degree of budget and financial literacy; ability to manage a spreadsheet and navigate internal and external budget/financial discussions.
